1988 - John Fogerty came out on the winning end of his self-plagiarism lawsuit with Fantasy Records. The suit alleged that Fogerty’s "The Old Man Down The Road" was copied from his other song, "Run Through The Jungle."  Fantasy held the publishing and master recording rights to the original CCR catalog.

1991 - Frank Zappa was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He died two years later, on Saturday, December 4, 1993

1995 - Alice in Chains released their self-titled album on CD and cassette.
