Police were responding Friday to a report of an active shooter on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, near the entrance to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Employees at the CDC said bullets struck the windows of several buildings on the federal agency’s campus.

Atlanta police did not immediately say whether anyone was injured in the shooting. A Grady Memorial Hospital spokesperson, however, said a Dekalb County police officer was wounded and transported to Emory University Hospital. The officer’s condition is not known.
